Pilates

- All you need to know

What is Pilates?

Pilates, created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, is a method that connects body and mind through movement. It is based on six core principles: concentration, control, centering, flow, precision, and breathing. Modern Pilates also values efficiency, harmony, awareness, and balance.

Originally called Contrology, Joseph described it as “complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit.” Each session works the whole body, building balanced strength and alignment to prevent injuries and improve posture.

Millions worldwide continue to expand on his work today.

What Can You Expect?

Pilates isn’t just exercise — it’s a lifelong practice adaptable to every body.

It can be done on a mat with minimal equipment or on specialized apparatus like the Reformer, which uses springs and pulleys for progressive resistance that challenges your muscles safely and effectively.
